IS Concert Welcomes the Winter Season

The musical ensembles of the Intermediate School played and sang beautifully to welcome in the season at the IS Winter Concert last night. The string orchestra, concert chorus, handbell ensemble, and symphonic band performed seasonal selections such as “Jingle Bell Rock”; “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”; “Fum, Fum, Fum”; and “Hanukkah Holiday”, respectively. Other crowd favorites included the string orchestra’s hummable “Emperor Waltz”, a dramatic choral medley from “Fiddler on the Roof”, a faithful rendition of ‘Arab Dance’ from “The Nutcracker” played by the handbells, and “Blue Sky Horizon”, an uplifting piece from the band.
